Being Still

Today has been a very quiet day for our family - which was much needed.  I do have to say the kids have a little bit of cabin fever, since it's been TOO COLD to get outside to play.  A nice quiet, day at home is what we've had nonetheless and it was very nice - when I take the time to live in today, I find blessings all around me...

12.  Afternoon snuggles with my youngest, while she read to me...

13.  A warm kitten purring in my lap while I read on the couch.

14.  Afternoon sunshine streaming through the kitchen window and glimmering on the snow and ice outdoors.

15.  Hearing my oldest make a decision to choose time with family over an opportunity to take part in one of her favorite interests/pastimes...  another reminder of what a big girl she is - and such a big heart.
